“No one can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra to play it.” – H.E. Luccock
As of the time of this writing, we are 47 days deep into California’s statewide shelter-in-place to mitigate the spreading of COVID-19. That means that our little music editing motley crew has been working from home, which is a significant lifestyle shift when you often see each other 10+ hours a day.
We are lucky enough not only to continue to work but also to have clients continue to hire us on new projects during these times. This is undoubtedly an immense privilege in a time where others in this industry can’t work. We are infinitely thankful for our circumstances, and the support of each other.
It’s important to remember that we’re not little islands of isolation. We continue to connect not just for the sake of the economy, but to continue to feed our soul. We continue to collaborate because we love our work. Through a combination of technology that has passively synchronized project files between all of us, as well as video portals that allow us to drop in for casual chats, we continue to be a complete team.
We’re proud to be a whole orchestra. We hope you’re all finding your little orchestras as well.
